Day 1-Split

Split is the largest and most important Dalmatian city, the second-largest urban centre in Croatia. Split is also one of the oldest cities in the area and is traditionally considered just over 1,700 years old. However, recent archaeological research relating to the ancient Greek colony of Aspálathos (6th century BC) establishes the city as being several hundred years older.

UNESCO protected Diocletian Palace in Split was built between the late 3rd and the early 4th century A.D by the Roman Emperor Diocletian. He built the Palace in a large bay on the southern side of the peninsula, close to his birthplace Salona. Today the Palace is still home to many residents and to major historical buildings.

Architectural historians consider it one of the best-preserved late Roman villas, but also cherish the elements of the medieval city as well as the layers of the subsequent historical styles found in the eclectic makeup of the Split city core.

Day 2-Trogir

The peristyle of the palace, Diocletian’s mausoleum, Jupiter’s temple, the colonnades along the streets, Early Croatian churches, Romanesque houses, the gates of Andrija Buvina and architectural works by Juraj Dalmatinac have remained in a good state.

Trogir is a town museum in the very meaning of the word. Lovers of cultural and historical monuments, art, original architecture and nice alleys are given the opportunity in Trogir to learn about the manifold and complex heritage – from the Romanesque yard to the modern interiors. The unique historical core, Radovan’s portal, the art collections which have been arousing excitement among visitors and travellers for centuries offer a tourist beauty, personified in the relief of Kairos as an appropriate souvenir.

Day 3-Primosten

Explore the little treasure spots in one of the most popular holiday hot spots in Croatia. Primosten is a picturesque town situated on a hilly peninsula and surrounded by 7 little islands. The past and the present are expressed with stone houses, narrow lands and churches. This charming little town is recognized for its large vineyards and donkey races and known to offer one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in Croatia; Raduca.

Day 4-Skradin

Located at the entrance of Krka National Park (7th National Park in Croatia), Skradin is an attractive small town, which offers visitors the beauty of the Skradin Buka waterfalls, Roški waterfall, by the Visovac Lake where you can find a Franciscan monastery on the islet. There are many delightful culinary dishes to discover from the array of restaurants and cafes located in the harbour front. Skradin is known as one of the oldest settlements in Croatia (2000 B.C.).

Day 5-Zakan / Kornati

According to George Bernard Shaw “On the last day of the Creation God desired to crown His work, and thus created the Kornati Islands out of tears, stars and breath”. As a part of the Kornati Archipelago, Zakan island is a “wild” harbour where many boaters come to unwind and relax. According to the oldest scripts, the fishing trade began here originally in Croatia. There isn’t much in population however fishermen and farmers are known to have houses on the island. Decorated beautifully, Zakan is a blanket of cultivated meadows and hillsides with over 300 species of flora and fauna; in addition to the more than 250 plant and 300 animal species in the sea.

Day 6-Telascica
 

Telascica bay is a designated natural park, boasting with wildlife and sea creatures – and a deep inlet lined with cliffs, inlets and bays. This picturesque place is renown for being the ideal harbour, safe, for many boats. While the northeastern side is bare, the southwestern coastline is covered with lush and thick pine trees as well as olive and fig trees. It’s a lovely bay for some private swimming with guests and ultimate peace and quiet within impressive scenery.

Day 7- Zadar

On the last day of your Croatian islands boat charter holiday, you will be in the middle of the Dalmatian coast and moored in Zadar. In this region, you will see that there are numerous coves and beaches, a great place for outdoor activities such as biking, hiking or simply strolling about.  Zadar has been around since prehistoric times. It is a place with 3 national parks and rich in cultural and historical monuments. There are a variety of restaurants offering local national dishes which – all together – make Zadar one of the most desirable places to visit in Croatia.
